Communications Outreach

Almost all communications that come from the Hispanic College Fund is electronic. Expenses associated with Hispanic College Fund outreach are largely attributed to the staff time involved in creating them, and the charges that mass email systems assess to distribute them.

How Do We Do It?

  • The Hispanic College Fund utilizes an online scholarship management system, which saves time and money.
  • The Hispanic Youth Symposia benefit from the fact that the Hispanic College Fund runs 6-8 nationally every year, allowing the organization to benefit from bulk purchasing and amortized staff time.
  • Outreach expenses are kept in check by using inexpensive email systems and template-driven websites.

Most of all, the Fund relies on a dedicated team of generous volunteers to read scholarship applications and run the symposia. Every year the Hispanic College Fund utilizes over 1,000 volunteers, allowing students to benefit more directly from contributions to scholarships and programs.
