Being able to attend the first Hispanic Youth Symposium in Fresno. has helped me expand my educational horizon as a young Latina. It has given me the extra motivation to know I can succeed and that I will always have the support of my fellow Hispanic peers and community leaders. I left the symposium with new friendships, future career opportunities, a $1000 scholarship, and most importantly, an unforgettable experience. Now, as I am finishing my senior year at Sunnyside High, I plan to continue my education at Fresno City College, and hope to transfer to a university were I can continue to experience programs that will help me pursue a career as an Emergency Medical Technician.
