PETRONE AS INTERIM CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Washington, DC (February 3, 2010) - The Hispanic College Fund, Inc. (HCF) announces the appointment of Joseph A. Petrone as interim chief executive officer. Petrone, a native of Puerto Rico and a Lockheed Martin executive, will lead the organization during a national search for a new chief executive officer. "We are extremely fortunate to have an executive with Joe's talents, experience and commitment" said Walter Nagel, chairman of the organization's Board of Directors. Petrone replaces J. Fernando Barrueta as chief executive officer. Barrueta presided over HCF during a dynamic period of growth from 2001 until 2010. "The Board of Directors thanks Fern for the dedication that he has shown this organization for the past nine years. Under his leadership, the Hispanic College Fund expanded from providing college scholarships to conducting symposiums that make college a reality for high school students," said Nagel.
