Information for Faculty and Student Organizations:

As a partner of the NASA OSSI for internship, fellowship, and scholarship opportunities, the Hispanic College Fund (HCF) leads a series of recruitment activities to engage students, faculty, and staff at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI). HCF does targeted recruitment through conferences, career fairs, informational sessions, and NASA Awareness Days.

  • Conference: During annual conferences and symposiums HCF meets with HSI faculty/staff to inform them of NASA opportunities available for students. HCF also informs students about opportunities.
  • Information Session: During information sessions HCF provides an overview of the NASA online application system (SOLAR). During the presentation students learn how to apply for various NASA opportunities.

  • Career Fair: Colleges and universities have career and internships fairs that are open to all majors or specific to engineering students. At fairs HCF represents NASA OSSI and promotes NASA opportunities to students. In many cases HCF also meets with faculty/staff during the event.

  • NASA Awareness Day: Via the NASA awareness workshops students learn about the types of opportunities at NASA, hear the inspirational stories of previous interns and NASA employees, and receive advice on how to prepare a competitive application.

If you would like a NASA OSSI representative to come speak to students or partner for a NASA Awareness Day at your college/university or conference contact Cathalina Juarez at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
