«To me your gift is much more than just a monetary gift; it represents a belief in the equal opportunity for Hispanics.  Your interests in my education and personal development have shown me that as Hispanics, we are not alone in striving to become better individuals as well as leaders in our community.  It has also shown me that hard work and dedication are truly rewarded.  Even though there are no words to express my gratitude, I can only repay you by working hard to maintain and improve upon my current academic record and strive to become a contributing member of the Hispanic community.»
