NASA MUST Symposium
In July 2011, scholars convened in Baltimore, MD for the MUST Leadership Symposium. We were privileged to hear from many powerful and inspiring individuals; including Dr. Freeman Hrabowski a national leader in minority STEM education, Dr. Carl Person, Dr. Tony Wagner, Idalia Fernandez, Dr. Joachim de Posada, and Dr. Michele Lezama. Everyone walked away with new skills, connections, and motivation to achieve their academic goals and succeed in the 21st century workforce.

To give you an idea of the impact MUST scholar outreach last semester alone, 24 scholars mentored K-12 students, 23 scholars tutored K-12 students in STEM subjects, 17 scholars designed hands-on activities to engage students in STEM, and 18 scholars spoke to the public about education opportunities at NASA. Students estimated their activities directly impacted 2,230 students!

What: Motivating Undergraduate in Science and Technology (MUST) 21st Century Leadership Symposium
When: July 19-22, 2012
Where: Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, Orlando. Florida.
The MUST Symposium seeks to:
- Inspire students to excel academically and to develop a broad skill set while pursuing their undergraduate degrees.
- Give students the opportunity to enhance their academic and professional support network with fellow scholars and NASA MUST staff.
- Facilitate the development of new skills and confidence that will prepare MUST scholars for life after college.
- Provide MUST Scholars with information about new opportunities to pursue graduate school, employment at NASA and the STEM industry
